Conversion of the Grade II Listed former Coutts Bank in one of London’s iconic squares. This was a challenging project to convert the existing banking hall and basement vaults to create a luxuriant fine dining restaurant by the famous restaurateurs who delivered the 110 des Taillelvent concept in Paris. The restaurant is a celebration of wine paired with fine cuisine and designed by award winning Designers PYR (Paris).
Bloc Architecture LLP acted as executive architect on the project translating PYR’s design and concept to UK Building Regulations as well as managing the technical aspects, detailing and consents required on this complex project. Throughout, we have sought to remain true to the original design concept and to deliver a restaurant as close to the vision of PYR & Taillevent as was possible. The project also boasts a full commercial kitchen with fish prep, ample storage and wash-down hygienic surfaces throughout.
